You can change the default Company Name and Logo in your system Properties
This is windows Xp specific.
You can too change this in vista also but thru different way
------------------------so
when you right click your MyComputer System properties window appears like above.
You can change this.
Steps--------------
**********************************************
Open Notepad and write as it is :
[General]
Manufacturer=Dushyant
Model=XPS M1330
[Support Information]
Line1="Hi"
Line2="Hello"
*******************************************
Save the file by name "Oeminfo.ini" without quotes
You can place any text in place of Hi, Hello, Dushyant and XPS1330.
But remember when you place lines, the number should be consecutive, otherwise it will loss the preceeding lines. You can increase the no. of lines.
This is all about the Support text information now about the logo--
Open any Image editing software and create a 16 or 256 color bitmap of size not greater than 180 by 114 pixels and save it by the name "Oemlogo.bmp" (without quotes).
Copy two files created by you
1-Oeminfo.ini
2-Oemlogo.bmp and paste in
C:/Windows/System32/
folder
here C:/ is the default windows installation directory that can vary in your case. See if the logo seen, if not, restart the PC.
Note: If you use more than 256 color bitmap in your logo than it will no longer be transparent.
